Sandra Forseth Conlon
Birth Date: 1963-09-07 Deceased Date: 2021-10-10 Obituary: Sandra M. Conlon, 58. of Sioux Falls, SD passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021. Her memorial service will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 15 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls, with interment of the urn at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation starts at 5:00 PM Thursday, October 14 at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sandra Marie Forseth, daughter of Melvin Gene and Barbara Ellen (Gustafson) Forseth, was born September 7, 1963 in Ft. Ritchie, MD. Sandra was raised and received her education in Sioux Falls, SD, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1983. After high school, Sandra was united in marriage with Todd Conlon on August 19, 1989 in Sioux Falls, SD. They spent 32 years together and raised three beautiful children, Josh, Heather and Jessica. Sandra worked many jobs and had several hobbies over her life but her favorite thing was to be a stay-at-home mother and raise her kids. Sandra loved spending time with her family and loved spoiling her grandchildren. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Todd; her son, Joshua Forseth and his fiancée, Eilish, Sioux Falls, SD; her daughters, Heather Heath and her husband, Justin, Sioux Falls, SD, Jessica Ware and her husband, Jake, Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren, Stella, Micah, Jonah, Ember, Odysseus, Jemal, Gracelynn; a sister, Merri Zitterich, Sioux Falls, SD; and many other relatives and friends. Sandra was preceded in death by a son, Austin Conlon; her parents, Gene and Barb Forseth; and a brother, Michael Forseth.

Patricia Kading Buol
Birth Date: 1964-12-08 Deceased Date: 2001-07-17 Obituary: Patricia Ann Kading, daughter of William and Elsie (Kiefer) Kading, was born December 8, 1964 in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up and received her education in Sioux Falls. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1983. After her schooling, Pat began working at Lewis Drug as a cashier. Pat was united in marriage with Jeff Buol on July 28, 1984 at St. Lambert Catholic Church in Sioux Falls. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls. Pat continued her career with Lewis Drug in customer service and later as the office supervisor at Lewis Westgate. She was waiting for an organ transplant at Rochester, MN and then at St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Pat was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Harley Owners Group. She enjoyed being involved in her children's activities, especially hockey. Pat collected Barbies and loved to ride motorcycle with her husband. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Jeff Buol, Sioux Falls, SD; a daughter, Renae Buol, Sioux Falls, SD; a son, Nick Buol, Sioux Falls, SD; her parents, Bill and Elsie Kading, Sioux Falls, SD; her mother-in-law, Jeanne Buol, Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers, Jeff Kading and his wife, Jane, Sioux Falls, SD, David Kading and his wife, Kim, Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Jo Kolda, Sioux Falls, SD; her maternal grandmother, Mary Beck and her husband, Al, Aberdeen, SD; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather; her paternal grandparents; and her father-in-law. Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family for lunch and fellowship at St. Michael Catholic Church following the committal service.

Kimberly Solstad Hackett
Birth Date: 1965-08-18 Deceased Date: 2024-03-19 Obituary: Kimberly Hackett, 58, passed away from a sudden cardiac event on March 19, 2024. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral home on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. with cookies and fellowship to follow. Kimberly Ann Solstad was born September 18th, 1965 to Leo and Emily Solstad in Richfield MN. As a child she moved with her family to Sioux Falls where she attended public schools and graduated from Lincoln high school in 1984. Kim married Mark Hackett the love of her life on February 27*h 1985. They made their home in Sioux Falls until 1988 when they moved to Brooklyn Park Minnesota. To this loving union came their daughter Nicole and son Dylan. They moved back to Sioux Falls in 2021. Kim worked for 39 years at Crystal Lions selling pull tabs. She was a people person who could make anyone her friend and could always make you smile. Kim's biggest passions in life were her children and grandchildren. She loved to ride her Harleys and rode with Mark for many years before becoming a skilled rider on her own bikes. Mark and Kim attended many bike rallies and benefit runs in different states throughout their time together. Camping trips, time at the cabin and treasure hunting were big adventures for the whole family, agate hunting was a favorite. There were many laughs and memories to be had by all when you were around Kim. Kim was very opinionated and always right in her own thinking, she was exuberant and lived life to the fullest. Kim was a beautiful soul inside and out, she will be forever loved and greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Mark, children Nicole (John) and Dylan (Yovana). Grandchildren Zed, Zelda, Adam, Andrew, Aiden, Abraham, Aislyn, Ailyana. Her mother Emily and Sisters Holly and Susan, brother Scott. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and father Leo.

Thomas Duin
Birth Date: 1965-08-06 Deceased Date: 2024-05-14 Obituary: Thomas Leon Duin, age 58 of Sioux Falls, SD passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Prince of Peace in Sioux Falls. Tom was born August 6, 1965 in Sioux Falls, son of Henry and Barbara (Thomas) Duin. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1983. He liked going to estate sales, antique stores and Storm games. He enjoyed his youth camping at the family cabin. He was proud of being batboy for a few of his brother’s baseball teams. Tom is survived by his mother, Barbara Duin of Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Richard Duin of Plymouth, MN; nephew, Riley Johnson of Bismarck, ND; niece, Emma Johnson of Bismarck, ND and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Duin; sister, Lisa Duin and his grandparents.

Kim Marie Yager
Birth Date: 1965-04-12 Deceased Date: 2024-12-09 Obituary: Kim M. Yager, 59, Brandon, died Monday, December 9, 2024, at her home unexpectedly. Private family services are planned for later this week. Kim Marie Yager was born on April 12, 1965, in Sioux Falls, SD to Jack Yager and Bonnie Savold. She was raised in Sioux Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1983. Kim most recently worked at Grand Living at Lake Lorraine. Kim was loved by many and will be missed tremendously. She was a friend to everyone she met and for those that truly had the honor of knowing her, knew that she had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Kim cherished her family and looked forward to attending the many family dinners and birthday celebrations that went on throughout the year. She found immense joy in spending time with her nieces, Michelle and Katie, and her nephew, Josh. She was an avid animal lover. Kim is survived by her father, Jack (Julene) Yager; mother, Bonnie (Denny) Savold; two sisters, Lisa (Jon) Yager, and Jessica (Stew) Savold; three brothers, Terry (Kimberly) Brower, James (Sherry) Alberts, and Shane (Amy) Alberts; stepbrothers, Chad (Brandi) Reimer, and Jeremy (Sheila) Reimer; stepsister, Monica Reimer; beloved nieces, Michelle (Brandon) Hildebrand, and Katie (Alex) Madsen; beloved nephew, Josh (Yodit) Madsen; special uncles, Frank Yager, John Yager, and Randy Reed; special cousin, Deb Johnson; life-long friend, Coralee Patch Multerer; and many more beloved family. Karen Cleveland Waldner
Birth Date: 1964-10-07 Deceased Date: 2025-04-25 Obituary: Karen Kay Waldner, age 60, of Hartford, South Dakota died Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. Visitation will be 5:00- 7:00 p.m., with an informal service at 7:00 p.m. to allow everyone to share memories, Wednesday, April 9 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory. Inurnment will be at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls. Karen Kay (Cleveland) Waldner, passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends after a difficult battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Karen was born to Paul E Cleveland and Joan L (Hill) Cleveland on Wednesday October 7th, 1964 in Sioux Falls, SD. Karen attended public school in Sioux Falls, graduating from Lincoln High in May 1983. Karen obtained her Nursing degree from Sioux Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1986. Karen’s nursing career took her to multiple hospitals and nursing homes. She joined Avera McKennan Hospital in February of 2001 and worked there until her passing. Karen married Mark Rogers in May of 1989 and from that union they were blessed with 3 children, Aly, Hayley, and Andrew. In April of 2018 she married Phil Waldner, and they are living their lives by the rule of “You, Me and God.” Karen cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. Andrew and Karen loved to watch their favorite TV shows, Blue Bloods and Hawaii 5-0 together. Enjoying football games Andrew played in was always important. Saturday morning coffee dates with Aly and Pax were often mentioned as the highlight of her week. She also loved watching Pax learn to play T-Ball and never missed a game. Pax lovingly nicknamed Grandma Karen as “Ama” as a baby, which Karen adored, and continued on once Adaline, her 2nd grandchild, was born in 2024. Hayley and Karen enjoyed bonding over their nursing experiences and were often each other's sounding board after tough days. Adaline loved video calling “Ama” and would give the biggest smiles when hearing “Ama” talk to her. Karen also cherished her time with her best friends, Shelly and Steve and they were often referred to as “The Three Musketeers”. They went on many adventures in their teenage years, and looked forward to their weekly dinner dates to ‘odd’ restaurants that their spouses would never go to. Shelly and Steve have continued to play a very important role as friends during Karen’s cancer diagnosis, and have been an invaluable guidance to her three kids. Karen spent time volunteering for the Compass Center in Sioux Falls by being a Rape Crisis Advocate, and more recently as a Court Watcher. She also attended Project Camp at Baptist Camp Judson in the Black Hills for many years, doing whatever tasks were needed that week to prepare the camp for the upcoming season. Phil and Karen spent many hours of time together doing what they both loved; fishing, gardening, and cooking. Karen loved gardening with friends and canning all of the fruits of her gardening labors. Karen grew up attending Judson Memorial Baptist Church, Emmanuel Baptist Church both in Sioux Falls and is now a member of Central Valley Community Church with her husband, Phil. Grateful for sharing her life is her husband, Phil Waldner; mother, Joan Cleveland, Sioux Falls; daughters, Aly (Aaron) Johnson, Humboldt, SD, Hayley (Grant) Johnston, Omaha, NE, and son, Andrew Rogers, Hartford, SD; grandchildren, Paxton (Pax) Johnson and Adaline Johnston. Karen will also be missed by numerous friends, In-Laws and extended family. She was preceded in death by her dad, Paul Cleveland; grandparents ,Rev. Sanford & Miriam Cleveland, Fred & Evangeline Hill.

David Walter Scarbrough
Birth Date: 1965-01-10 Deceased Date: 2025-09-30 Obituary: Dave was born on January 5, 1965 in Sioux Falls, SD, to Alva and Mary Lee (Syverson) Scarbrough. He grew up in Sioux Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1983 and Augustana University with a Bachelor’s degree. Dave loved the Green Bay Packers, BBC shows like Doctor Who and Downton Abbey, and trying new recipes. He was a music lover, both as a listener and as a musician himself. He had composed several solo albums throughout his life, as well as being a member of several bands such as The Harvesters, Violet, and Ill Bill & The Spinal Chills. He also participated in Themestock, where musicians around the globe composed and performed music around a theme, both virtually and in-person. In 2024, he was inducted into the South Dakota Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Dave is survived by his daughters, Hannah Scarbrough, Sioux Falls, SD, and Alice Hulett, Seneca, SC; his siblings, Mary Scarbrough Hunt, St. Louis Park, MN, Susan Scarbrough Syverson, Lund, Sweden, and Steven Scarbrough, Amsterdam, Netherlands. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, his family would love if you would listen or share his music, donate/purchase instruments for public schools, or donate to local charities and non-profits such as LifeScape (help for children and adults with disabilities), St. Francis House and other homeless shelters, or addiction treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation centers.
